ABOUT AVC
Anticult Volunteer Corps (AVC) is a non-governmental security outfit with major aim of eradicating cultism and like crimes. The organization was formed in the year 2007 at Kwale Town, Ndokwa West LGA of Delta State and recruited more volunteers which most where renounced cult members including good spirited non cult members voluntarily making themselves available in combating cultism and other crimes.
Our Administrative Headquarter remains in Kwale, Delta State while our operational base is at State Anti Cult Unit (SACU) Base office. We currently utilize a strong collaboration with State Anti Cult Unit (SACU) and Special Anti Kidnapping and Cyber Crime Squad (SAKCCS) both of Delta State Police Command
Apart from combating cultism, we specialize in tackling and handling pipeline surveillance, rendering firsthand intelligence bothering robbery, kidnap, and cult ignited activities.
VISION STATEMENT
AVC Vision is to become the most efficient and reliable voluntarily security organization engaged in reducing cultism, kidnapping and like crimes in the Federal Republic of Nigeria
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to ensure the security and safety of innocent citizens in Nigeria Communities, Promote youth partnership in preventing violent cult related activities and like crimes. We aimed at sustaining peace/cult-free atmosphere within Delta State and beyond through combating crimes like armed robbery, kidnapping, rape, burglary, pipeline vandalism which are all consequences of cultism.
OUR ACHIEVEMENTS
A. Combat asssault on robbery/kidnap - All DPOs in Kwale / Ashaka / Obiaruku / Aboh / Agbor / Ozoro / Warri /Umutu / Nsukwa / Ogwasi-uku / Umunede / Asaba / Ibusa and more from 2008 till date will attest to it.
B. Arrest of kidnappers and rescue of victims with the assistance and supervision of Special Anti Kidnapping and Cyber Crime Squad (SAKCCS) of Delta State Command
C. Arrest of notorious cultists in Tertiary Institutions and communities under the supervision of State Anti Cult Unit (SACU) which we are merged to by the past Delta State Police Commissioner, CP. Zanna I. Mohammed
D. Recovery of stolen phones in cases of robbery, kidnapping, and CDR Analysis
E. Project/survey on ways to solve cult clashes in Delta State 2010.
F. Peace talks between warring cult groups in year 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2017.
G. Organized remuneration programme where over 927 youths renounced cultism from 2009 till date
H. Partnership and collaboration with the Delta State Police Command special units (SACU and SAKCCS)
I. Establishing AVC in all the Divisional Police Headquarters in Delta via the authorization of the past Delta State Police Commissioner, CP Zanna Ibrahim Mohammed
J. Terminating known and remarkable celebrating days of known violent cult groups in Delta State and beyond
K. Maintaining calm and peaceful atmosphere during remarkable festival days in numerous communities in Delta State and beyond
L. Recovering of stolen NDDC Vehicle (Toyota Hilux) in Rivers State
M. Facilitating the unconditional release of the kidnapped father of Sgbama Local Government Area, Bayelsa State Base Office: Office of the State Anti-Cult Unit (SACU), Asaba Delta State
